Design and Plans	Proficient Marble run design demonstrates an understanding that a change in the object's motion depends on the sum of the forces of the object. *Model should provide an increase in friction to oppose the marble's motion; shallow ramps to slow the downward pull of gravity; and possibly additional ways to slow the marble down, decreasing the marble's inertia.	Needs Improvement Marble run design demonstrates some understanding that a change in the object's depends on the sum of the forces of the object. *Model includes only one way to slow the marble's motion (either increasing friction or working against the gravitational pull of the Earth).	Warning Marble run design demonstrates a limited or weak understanding that a change in the object's depends on the sum of the forces of the object.
