This anthology is the final assessment in the unit of Poetry. This is a two week task wherein students compiled original poetry showcasing the use of imagery, sound effects, rhyme scheme, 2 free verse (center pieces:revision:rewrite, message, shape, cinquain and love sonnet

The poem did not include any literary devices such as: imagery, sound effects and rhyming pattern, etc.

The poem's use some literary devices.

The poem incorporate several literary devices, which demonstrates creativity.

The poems and images are attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness and 1-2 images are not related to the poems but overall presentation is good.
Excelling

The poem is exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness. All images used are related to the poems and enhances the overall presentation of the portfolio.
Neatness

Beginning

The anthology is not presentable. It is extremely messy, disorganized and/or otherwise unpresentable.
Developing

The poem is barely presentable. Project is sloppy and/or disorganized. Care was not taken to present and protect the project.
Established

The Poem is presentable. It is clean, organized and well-presented.
Excelling

The Poem is stellar in its presentation. It is clean, organized and well-presented. Obvious care was taken to present and protect the project.
Grammar & Punctuation

Usage of the application of conventions and grammar in written format.

Beginning

There are numerous spelling, diction, or grammar errors, making it difficult or impossible to interprete meaning.
Developing

The intended meaning is muddled by some spelling, diction or grammar errors.
Established

Some spelling, diction or grammar mistakes are evident, but do not diminish meaning.
Excelling

Proper use of modern English spelling, diction and grammar are employed consistently throughout poem. If grammar "mistakes" are present it is clearly evident that they are intentional, and used to enhance meaning.
