Retelling	Exceeds the Standard The student correctly retells the story including all 4 elements: main characters, setting, problem, solution, and is able to demonstrate a deeper understanding using inferences, and/or connections, visualizations.	Meets the Standard The student retells the story with all 4 elements: main characters, setting, problem, solution.	Partially Meets the Standard The student retells the story including 2 out of 4 elements: characters, setting, problem, solution.	Does Not Meet the Standard The student does not retell the story accurately or completely.
