10 pts

Needs Work

"Needs Work" projects demonstrate the minimum amount of effort, poor use of provided time, and little evidence of planning.

18 pts

Good

"Good" projects demonstrate a fair amount of effort, a good use of the provided time, and sufficient evidence of planning.

20 pts

WOW!!

"WOW!" projects demonstrate a high amount of effort, excellent use of provided time, and above average planning.

25 pts

Accuracy

Is this a good model of the cell?

Unacceptable

Inaccurate representation.
Needs Work

Representation of cell structure not fully accurate, some confusion seen.
Good

Generally accurate representation of cell structure
WOW!!

Highly accurate representation of cell structure and function. Shows excellent understanding of cell structure.
Structure

Are all required organelles present?

Unacceptable

Little or no labels.
Not all required organelles are present. Numerous errors in cell structure lableing. Lack of understanding of cell structure or the organelle.
Needs Work

All organelles are present but there are errors in or missing organelle labels. Understanding of cell or organelle structure and function needs further develoment.
Good

All organelle structures and labels are present. Adequate understanding of cell or organelle structure. Most structures labled appropriatley.
WOW!!

More than required organelles and labels are present. Excellent understanding of cell or organelle structure. All structures labled appropriately.
Creativity and Artistic Appeal

Is your model unique? Did you use unique materials?

Unacceptable

Absense of creative design.
Needs Work

Little or no creativity seen in design. Problems with planning and organization. Poor use of materials.
Good

Shows some creativity in design. Use of materials/methods shows satisfactory planning and organization.
WOW!!

Innovative use of materials/method that shows excellent planning, organization and hard work.
Clarity

Did you choose materials that were appropriate for what you were trying to represent?

Unacceptable

No clarity in representation. Materials do not represent structure or function of cell or organellel.
Needs Work

Confusion in representation. Use of materials does not show a parallel with the structure and function of organelles.
Good

Generally clear representation, good use of materials to show structure and function of organelles.
WOW!!

Representation is extremely clear, materials used metaphorically represent structure and function of organelles.
