Independent-Reading Book Review Rubric 
Students read a book, review the book, and give their opinion about the book. The reviewer summarizes the ideas of the book and recommends or does not recommend this book to another student based on insights he/she may have regarding the book. The student also rates the book on a scale of 1-5.

Plot/Storyline is missing events. The entire story is not told. Setting and characters may be missing.

Plot/Storyline is missing, incomplete or overly simple. Setting is not stated and characters are not described.
