Strong credibility present at initial, derived, & terminal stages of speech (throughout). Oral citations present.

Integrated smoothly, but visual aids of poor quality, irrelevant or not in order.

Gestures/paralanguage

Excellent 5

Integrated posture, gestures, and other nonverbal behaviors so that they completed and enhanced the speech.

Had good posture and use of gestures. Student maintained good eye contact with entire room during the speech.

Slumped over podium or leaned on table, had lots of unnecessary movement, or didn't use hands for gestures, etc... Had moments of eye contact w audience, but spent parts of speech focused on notes, back wall, table, was dressed inappropriately but not distractingly, etc...

Did not make eye contact with the audience, had lot of extra movement, slouched, held hands behind back, was dressed inappropriately etc... Their physical presentation distracted from speech.
