Punctuation	Novice There are many puntuation and grammatical errors throughout the writing.	Apprentice There are minimal punctuation and grammatical errors throughout the writing.	Expert There are no punctuation or grammatical errors throughtout the writing.
Fluency	Novice The hope and/ or dream is not attainable. The sentence structure is choppy and simple.	Apprentice The hope and/ or dream is attainable and can be achieved during this school year. The sentence structure could use some work.	Expert The hope and dream is attainable and can be achieved this school year. The student uses good sentence structure for a 3rd grade student.
