4. Fields ball out in front of the body.
5. Secures ball with both hands.
Fly Balls

Player had difficulty catching 50% of fly balls. Does not demonstrate the use of the 4 basic fundamentals.

Player able to catch at least 6 fly balls. May lack three or more of the 4 basic fundamentals.

Player able to catch at least 7 fly balls. May lack one or two of the 4 basic fundamentals.

1. Runs to ball without extending glove too early.
2. Positions body under fly ball.
3. Catches ball on throwing arm side.
4. Throwing arm side leg is slightly back to prepare for throw.

4. Pulls glove down toward hip at time of throw.
5. Throwing arm elbow travels above the shoulder.
6. Proper follow through of back leg.

Player made correct decisions when running the bases at least 8 of 10 times.
They have shown an understanding of:
