Passing and Catching	Not Yet Within Expectations Often 'misses' the catch and the student's passing often doesn't get to the intended person. Carries the ball in 2 hands and can complete stationary passes.	Meets Minimal Expectations Usually catches and passes the ball and is accurate with their passing on their preferred side.	Fully Meets Expectations Consistently catches and passes the ball and are accurate with their passing on their preferred side.	Exceeds Expectations Good ability to catch and pass the ball on both sides of their body and are accurate with their passing.
Knowledge of Rules	Not Yet Within Expectations Has no real understanding of the rules and therefore play is stilted because of this.	Meets Minimal Expectations Has some knowledge of the basic rules but does not use them to their advantage.	Fully Meets Expectations Has a good knowledge of the rules and uses them to their advantage such as the touch count. Meets Minimal Expectations Uses some of the offensive strategies (wrap, switch, fake pass) in appropriate situations.	Fully Meets Expectations Uses a wide variety of offensive strategies (wrap, switch, fake pass) in appropriate situations. Can apply tactics in a game to put the opposition under pressure.	Exceeds Expectations Uses a wide variety of offensive strategies (wrap, switch, fake pass) in appropriate situations. Can apply pressure to the opposition and create scoring opportunities from that.
Defense	Not Yet Within Expectations Can defend but is often caught offside whilst retreating.	Meets Minimal Expectations Is sometimes quick to retreat after the touch.	Fully Meets Expectations Is usually quick to retreat after the touch.	Exceeds Expectations Always reatreats quickly after the touch.
Participation/Effort	Not Yet Within Expectations Unenthusiastic, unmotivated, and generally uninvolved in the activity.	Meets Minimal Expectations Seems somewhat motivated, but reluctant to be fully involved in the activity.	Fully Meets Expectations Is motivated and involved in the activity.	Exceeds Expectations Is enthusiastic and very involved in the activity. Encourages others.
