Satisfactory The group met most deadlines and worked to resolve conflicts. With some exception, the group worked together to research, discuss, write, and review.	Needs Improvement Either some deadlines were not met or the group had difficulty working together.
Research	Proficient The final product is supported by 8-10 sources and adheres to APA or MLA citation standards.	Satisfactory The final product is supported by 6-8 sources and, with some exception, adheres to APA or MLA standards.	Needs Improvement Either there are not enough sources to support the writing or the research may not be aligned with APA or MLA standards.
Writing	Proficient The product is well formed. The thesis/assertion is clear and fully supported by well formed supporting paragraphs. The voice is collective and unified.	Satisfactory The final product is satisfactory. The thesis/assertion tends to be supported by supporting paragraphs, though there may be a few lapses in organization. The voice is collective and unified for the most part, with a few exceptions.	Needs Improvement The thesis/assertion may not be fully supported. The writing may sound piecemeal rather than unified and collective.
Mechanics	Proficient The final product is error free. There are no grammatical errors.	Satisfactory With one or two exceptions, the final product is free of grammatical error.	Needs Improvement There are three or more grammatical errors in the final product.
Product	Proficient The final product is polished and engaging. It invites a general audience, and my be particularly stylish.	Satisfactory For the most part, the final product is polished. It may have benefited from one more review before final publishing.	Needs Improvement The final product should have undergone more review and editing before publishing.
