Clean/replace inner cannula Use your non-dominate hand to unlock and remove inner cannula. Strict aseptic technique. Move quickly to prevent oxygen desaturation. Place inner cannula in the solution NS/Hydrogen Peroxide and use the sterile brush to remove secretions from inside/outside cannula. Hold inner cannula or set in NS rinse tray and rinse with Normal Saline. Tap solution off cannula. Replace inner cannula and secure the locking mechanism. Re- oxygenate as needed. Dressing & Ties Change Clean trach site* remove soiled dressing* use cotton tipped swabs dipped in NS to clean exposed surfaces of trach plate* use cotton tipped swabs to clean around stoma* pat surface dry with sterile 4X4* apply new drain sponge* replace trach ties, doing one side at a time	Non-performance The learner does not follow the indicated steps.
