Dining with Decimals 
Create a menu. create a menu with categories. The students will pretend to be a customer along with his or her family and select items to eat and drink. Create a bill based on those items and add up the total cost. If you are given $100.00, how much change will your family get back?

Menu has minimal sections with less then 2 choices for each. Some prices are not appropriately listed and information is disorganized.
Poor

Menu is missing sections. There are no prices listed and none of the information is organized.
Receipt

Receipt has all required information including the names of food and drinks for each person. The bill is neat and organized.The total cost added up on the receipt is correct along with the subtraction for the change due. All the decimals are lined up.

Receipt has required information. The bill is somewhat organized, decimals are not clearly lined up, and the total cost and/or change due is incorrect.
Fair

Receipt is missing information. The bill is disorganized. The items were not totaled up. Decimals are out of place.
Poor

The receipt is missing the majority of information. There are no decimals.
Spelling/Word Use

Excellent

No more than 1-2 spelling errors.
Good

Has between 3-5 spelling errors.
Fair

Has between 6-10 spelling errors.
Poor

Has more than 10 spelling errors.
