*Student can be heard singing melody line, not to loud nor to soft. All parts are heard clearly. *Volume of your instrument is balanced with the other instruments playing.
Efficient use of the singer’s stream of breath, determined by the use of abdominal and oblique muscles in order to control the speed at which the diaphragm relaxes back to a neutral state (i.e. as it was before the breath was taken). The ability to sing full phrases without needing a breath.
Student shows signs that voice change may have occurred and is settled (for now). The student's singing voice may be dramatically altered, including a different singing range, increased singing volume, clearer singing tone.
