Stall Cleaning Students' will properly and safely clean a horses stall. Rubric Code: DXCB43X By svasquez07 Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Vocational Type: Assessment Grade Levels: 9-12

Stall Cleaning Student properly clean the horses stall safely and properly. Including the the water bucket and sweeping the front of the stall.
	Poor 5 pts	Needs Improvement 15 pts	Master 20 pts
Proper Equipment Student has all of the proper tools to clean a stall. Student has mock bucket, pitch fork and broom.	Poor Student is missing many of the proper tools to clean the stall properly.	Needs Improvement Student is missing one of the for the tools to clean the stall properly.	Master Student has all of the proper tools to successfully clean a stall properly.
Safety With The Horse Student either ties the horse in the stall with a quick release knot or brings the horse to the tie wall for the partner to work with.	Poor Student leaves the horse in the stall not tied when cleaning.	Needs Improvement Student does not tie the quick release knot correctly.	Master Student properly ties the horse in the stall or removes horse and brings it to the arena for the partner to work with.
Cleaning The Stall Student will clean all of the manure and urine out of the stall.	Poor Student does not remove manure and urine out of the stall.	Needs Improvement Student does not remove all of the manure and urine out of the stall.	Master Student removes all of the manure and urine out of the stall.
Bucket Check Students will check the horses water bucket to make sure horse has a full bucket of water and it is clean. If the bucket needs to be scrubbed then the student will scrub it.	Poor Student does not check the water bucket at all.	Needs Improvement Student does not fill or scrub the bucket correctly.	Master Student check the bucket, scrubs if needed and refills with clean water.
Sweeping Student sweeps up the front of the stall to remove any extra manure and shavings that missed the manure bucket.	Poor Student does not sweep the front of the stall.	Needs Improvement Student sweeps the front but does not sweep everything up.	Master Student sweeps up the front of the stall correctly.
