The student has difficulty articulating and developing a purpose or area of focus. Frequently asks for instruction and clarification. The student can not initiate independent ideas and has difficulty remaining on task

The student has developed a purpose and area of focus. The student is in need of peer reflection or guidance. The student is in need of assistance from teacher and can be unfocused in class.
