Participation	Poor Student participated at a minimal level.	Fair Student was involved with designs and ideas.	Good Student was an active member of the group contributing ideas and assisted in construction.	Exceeds Student took a leadership role within the group.
Design	Poor Design lacks creativity.	Fair Design is basic but works.	Good Design shows a creative approach to task at hand.	Exceeds Design demonstrates complex mechanisms to achieve task.
Frame	Poor Construction is attempted.	Fair Frame is built but parts are not secure.	Good Frame is solid, pieces are firmly attached.	Exceeds Frame is completly pined together and will not fall apart.
Application	Poor Machine works "in theory."	Fair Machine works with some assistance from group.	Good Machine is fully automated.	Exceeds Machine demonstrates inovative automation to achieve desired result.
Presentation	Poor Audience cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information.	Fair Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around.	Good Student presents information in logical sequence which audience can follow.	Exceeds Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow.
