Push Up Push Up Rubric used for our State Assessment for push-ups. Students were allowed to practice ahead of time and see how many "GOOD" push-ups they could complete. Rubric Code: C22X46A By Troop3343 Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Physical Ed., Fitness Type: Assessment Grade Levels: K-5, 9-12

90 Degree Push Up
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
90 Degree Angle	Poor Student does not achieve a 90 degree bend in the elbow on any repetition	Fair Student achieves a 90 degree bend in the elbows on nearly all repetitions	Good Students achieves a 90 degree bend in the elbows with the upper arms parallel to the floor with each repetition
Arm Extension	Poor Student does not fully extend arms on any repetition	Fair Student fully extends arms on nearly all repetitions	Good Student fully extends arms with each repetition
Body Position	Poor Student fails to maintain proper body position throughout the test	Fair Students maintains proper body position for a portion of the test	Good Student maintains proper body position, keeping a straight line from head to toes throughout the test
Pace	Poor Student frequently stops to rest and is unable to maintain a rhythmic pace during the test period	Fair Student maintains rhythmic pace for the majority of the test period	Good Student maintains a rhythmic pace of one push-up every three seconds for the entirety of the test period
