Criteria for Interviewing Skills
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Facilitation (active comprehension)	Poor The interviewer never facilitates further discussion by the interviewee.	Fair The interviewer uses faciliatation some of the time, but it is rather awkward.	Good The interviewer uses faciliation well. They help interviewees produce meaningful statements.
Open Ended Questions	Poor All interviewer's questions could be answered with a "yes" or "no".	Fair Most (but not all) of the interviewer's questions are to be answered with "yes" or "no"	Good Interviewer's questions led to discussion with few "yes" or "no" answers.
Paraphrasing	Poor The interviewer never paraphrased what the interviewee said.	Fair Some of the time the interviewer paraphrased, but it was inconsistent.	Good The interviewer pharaphrased appropriately and consistently.
Social skills	Poor The interviewer rushed through the interview. Speech was difficult to hear or understand. They did not pay attention to the interviewee.	Fair The interviewer paid some attention to the interviewee. Speech was sometimes hard to understand.	Good The interviewer did not speak too fast or slow. They were attentive and listened actively to the answers of the interviewee.
