Comprehension Assessment (Fiction) 
Using the areas of comprehension identified in Literacy for the 21st Century (Tompkins, chapter 9), this rubric is to assess student comprehension of a fictional text using a 5-point scale. Points 1, 3, and 5 have criterion listed; columns 2 and 4 are for "gray areas" that may be the average of two columns. Rubric is worth 25 points.
