Professional Profile Picture
Create a profile picture for Verge. Start by taking a picture of yourself. You will need to be able to crop the picture from the shoulders up. You can use any device of your choice. Crop your image into a size between 200 x 200 and 500 x 500 pixels. DO NOT use any filters that alter or change your face. Save your picture as, you will need to upload as your profile picture in Verge under settings. You will also upload your picture for grading in Microsoft Teams. .

Professional picture (follows dress code and expectations); no distracting background; smiling or relaxed and friendly expression, headshot is close enough so that the face is easily recognizable.

The picture has not been cropped into the square dimensions required for this assignment. The picture used shows distortion or white borders.
Fair
The picture has been cropped into a square but the size is outside of the boundaries required for this assignment.
Good
Picture has been cropped to dimensions between 200 x 200 and 500 x 500 pixels.
Background

The background is too busy or contains other people or objects.
Fair
Background blends into the subject so that there is not enough contrast to define the person in the picture.
Good
Background is white or a solid color that contrasts with the subject in the photo.
Orientation
Poor
There is MORE or LESS of you than a head shot from the shoulders up. The photo has been taken from an angle or the head is tilted.
Fair
The photo is slightly tilted or it looks like it may be a selfie. There is more or less of you than from the shoulders up. The picture is not framed squarely on the canvas.
Good
The picture shows you from the shoulders up facing the camera. The head is squarely frames on the canvas. The subject is standing straight.
Edits
Poor
There is evidence of filters being used to change the original photo. Minor flaws have not been removed. Photo has not been resized. File size exceeds recommendations.
Fair
There are minor touch ups that need to be done in the background or on the subject.
Good
Minor blemished have been corrected so the subject appears natural. The photo has been saved as a .jpg file.
Verge Upload

Photo has not been uploaded as your profile picture in Verge.
Fair
There was an attempt to upload the photo, but errors prevented the upload to be completed.
