LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR	Excellent Student brings original thought and perspective to discussion. Maintains active involvement throughout semester. Engages with fellow peers, asks questions.	Good Student sometimes asks questions, and participates in discussions. Engages with fellow peers but not consistently.	Fair Student rarely participates in class.	Poor Student never participates in class, does not participate in discussions. When called upon, often does not offer any comments.
PREPARATION	Excellent Student is always prepared for class with assignments and has clearly read the assigned materials.	Good Student is usually prepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.	Fair Student is frequently unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.	Poor Student is almost always unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.
