Participation	Exceeds Expectations Student always participates constructively in class and takes a leadership role in guiding others to do the same. • Student actively listens to and positively engages in discussions with peers and teacher, while encouraging others to do the same. • Student works with peers to accomplish a task and takes a leadership role while making sure all voices are head and respected.	Meets Expectations • Student usually participates constructively in class. • Student actively listens to and positively engages in discussion with peers and teacher. • Student works with peers to accomplish tasks.	Partially Meets Expectations • Student sometimes participates constructively in class. • Student needs to be reminded to actively listen to and positively engage in discussion with peers and teacher. • Student has to be reminded to work with peers to accomplish tasks.
Preparation	Exceeds Expectations Student is always in class on time and prepared with required materials. • Student begins class according to expectations right away, with required materials, and helps others to do the same. • Student completes all assignments, on time and work is completed with care and accuracy, while challenging self with work that is above and beyond expectations.
