Fluency Rubric

Fluency errors in Social Situations	1 Student is difficult to understand and requires peers/adult to request repetition in social situations.	2 Student has noticeable dysfluencies and peers/adult requests repetition in social situations.	3 Student has dysfluencies and requires an peers/adult to request repetition in social situations.	4 Student has dysfluencies but is not requested to repeat in social situations.
Group Discussions/Classroom	1 Student is unable to use fluency strategies during group discussions/presentations in class.	2 Student is able to use fluency strategies some of the time; with prompting when speaking in group discussions/presentations in class.	3 Student is able to use fluency strategies without prompting when speaking in group discussions/presentations in class.	4 Student is able to use fluency strategies most of the time; without prompting when speaking in group discussions/presentations in class.
Self-Correction	1 Student talks without being understood and without any attempts to correct dysfluencies.	2 Student shows awareness of not being understood by repeating what is said without attempts to correct dysfluencies.	3 Student attempts to repair dysfluencies when prompted or when asked to repeat.	4 Student repairs any errors noted without prompts or being asked to repeat.
