Grid and contour drawing of Masterwork Grid and contour drawing of Masterwork Using a digital photo of a masterwork, grid the photo in a half inch inch grid. Then create a one inch grid on your illustration board to transfer your drawing to. After transferring your drawing using the grid, use two different mediums and color/shade your drawing. You will be graded on if you incorporate your own personal artistic style, use composition and design, craftsmanship, and effort. Craftsmanship	Exceeds the Standard Student completes artwork purposefully with high level of craftsmanship. Drawing is neat, clean & complete. Student has taken extra care in the presentation of the piece and it is not wrinkled, torn, or otherwise “distressed”.	Above the Standard Student completes artwork with some high levels of craftsmanship and some finishing touches.	Meets the Standard Student completes artwork with evidence of basic levels of craftsmanship.	Below the Standard Student completes artwork with isolated evidence of craftsmanship.	Unsatisfactory Student completes artwork without concern for craftsmanship.
Effort	Exceeds the Standard Student carries out assignment to completion, goes far beyond the requirements.	Above the Standard Student works diligently and completes assignment beyond basic requirements.	Meets the Standard Student completes assignment with basic interpretation of requirements.	Below the Standard Student completes assignment and is sometimes off-task.	Unsatisfactory Student does not complete assignment and is often off-task
contour drawing	Exceeds the Standard Student spent a great deal of time and achieved a drawing of excellence and superior craftsmanship.	Above the Standard Student worked on grid, completed well and the drawing was good although it lacked specific details.	Meets the Standard Grid was done late and student has barely begun to start the contour drawing	Below the Standard Grid barely completed well and was unable to complete the drawing in the appropriate time.	Unsatisfactory Grid either not done or no contour drawing at all.
