Time Use Personal effort to stay on task	Level 4 Always used class time wisely and did not get off task	Level 3 Used class time wisely most of the time and was rarely off task.	Level 2 Used class time wisely most of the time but had to be reminded to do so.	Level 1 Rarely used class time wisely and was often off task
Rhythm/Tempo Coordinates movements with music. Pause when necessary.	Level 4 Accurate in beat, tempo, rhythm of dance sequences.	Level 3 Shows a good understanding of tempo and beat, but sometimes falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Level 2 Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but sometimes falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Level 1 Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.
Performance Ability to execute various movements	Level 4 Executes all the movements/steps and performs to the absolute best of his/her ability.
