	50-59% 1 pts	60-69% 2 pts	70-79% 3 pts	80-100% 4 pts
Requirements	1 90% of the portfolio doesn't not meet the criteria required for the project.	2 The portfolio is missing most of the required content or student didn't follow the required format.	3 The portfolio is missing 1-2 of the required content or format.	4 The poem has figurative language. rhyme scheme, and is at least 14 lines with 3 stanzas and conveys meaning of poem by use of both texts.
Originality	1 Work appears to be thoughtless or rushed. Work is very repetitive and ideas seem cliched, impersonal or unoriginal. Poems do not meet requirements.	2 The poems are creative, but don't demonstrate a variety of approaches. Poems are not varied and do not meet most of the requirements.	3 Poems are creative and thoughtful. They are carefully written, but development or craft could go further. Most poems meet requirements.	4 Poems are creative and original. It is evident that the poet put thought into their words and innovatively conveyed their ideas and emotions. Poems meet all requirements.
Grammar & Punctuation	1 There are numerous spelling, diction, or grammar errors in the poems and/or paragraphs.	2 The poet's intended meaning is muddled by some spelling, diction or grammar errors in the poems and/or paragraphs.	3 Some spelling, diction or grammar mistakes are evident, but do not diminish meaning in poems and/or paragraphs.	4 Proper spelling, diction and grammar are employed consistently throughout portfolio.
