Character analysis/interpretation is extended through brief elaboration and connected to plot, but the explanation may be unclear and/or difficult to understand.

Character analysis/interpretation is not extended beyond the explanation and support. A logical connection is made between character and plot, however, the explanation is brief and insufficient in order for the reader to fully understand the connection.
