Singing Posture and Expression

Sings with appropriate vocal vital signs, energy and emotion.

Above Average

Sits up straight/stands with appropriate posture for singing; communicates energy and emotion when singing.
Sufficient

Generally sits/stands up straight and is ready to sing; attempts to show energy and emotion when singing.
Developing

Usually shows appropriate posture for singing; usually shows energy and emotion when singing. Stands to sing when asked.
Needs Improvement

Occasionally sits up straight and is ready to sing or may need some re-direction. Sometimes does not sing or sings with inapproproiate voice. Sometimes may not stand to sing when asked.
Unsatisfactory

Does not use good singing posture during class and is unwilling to follow any directives given; rarely sings. Rarely stands to sing when asked.
