Grade 7 Geography Task. The Five Themes of Geography. 
Tourism, the Wonders of the World, and the Five Themes of Geography. You may sign out a textbook (unit 1) to review the five themes, (Place, Movement, Environment, Interaction, Region). Your finished product is in a format of your choice. You must submit a separate notebook on Feb 1 (7A) or Feb. 6 (7B). You will be given 6 class periods to work on your project. 7A presentations start Feb. 1 7B presentations start Feb. 6th. Total Marks = /80.

The student(s) locate, collect, and consistently bring to class relevant information about their tourist destination. Notes are organized and updated in s separate duo-tang, which clearly show a bibliography using a variety of sources, and research about the topic in the students own words. (no plagarism!) Class time has been used productively.
13 to 15 points.
Excellent (Level 4)

The students locate, collect, and consistently bring to class a VARIETY of relevant information (book(s); internet articles, magazine articles, etc.) about their tourist destination. Notes are organized and updated in a separate duo-tang, which very clearly show a bibliography using a wide variety of sources, and research about the topic in the students own words (NO plagarism!). Class times has been used very productively.

The student(s) has applied knowledge of geographic inquiry and the five themes of geography in detail to produce a visual presentation incorporating these themes expertly on a selected " wonder of the world" tourist destination. The presentation is between 3-7 minutes long and is very interesting and engaging. There is definitely an interactive element for the audience; e.g. quiz, game show, etc.
16 to 20 points.
