IDEAS & CONTENT
30 %

Are all required elements present? Are the elements high quality, easily seen?

EXEMPLARY

Program show a clear progression of ideas with excellent, well thought out explanations tying it together. Thought provoking, moving, focused and insightful. All points are supported well.
STRONG

Format is clear, with ideas that do not surprise us, but are well thought out and supported. All required elements are present even if there is a problem with balance. Good detail and visuals.
PROFICIENT

Clearly evident main ideas with some support, although we may feel we need more. Ideas are predictable, as are the visuals. The elements may be unbalanced; some required elements may be missing.
DEVELOPING

Main ideas are simplistic; details are limited. May go off topic; be cliched.
May be difficult to follow clearly or have no clear point.
Poor quality.
ORGANIZATION
20 %

Is there a logical flow to information/elements?
Is there a clear thesis or theme or point?

EXEMPLARY

Compelling, creative, and logical. Has an inviting introduction and strong closure. Thesis or main idea is clearly identified and support is logical in choice and arrangement.
STRONG

Format is clear, focused and logical, but not particularly creative. Intro is present and relevant, and it ends well. The thesis or main point is made clear but may be overstated or understated.
PROFICIENT

Format is acceptable, but not necessarily sequential or logically organized. Support may seem out of balance; it may seem hard to follow the presentation, or it is short, with limited visuals.
DEVELOPING

Portions are hard to follow as they are not put together in any clear order. It may be a list. Intro and closure may be "My topic is..." or absent. May use numbers.
CREATIVITY & DESIGN
30 %

Is it interesting? Do the elements enhance? Are there enough? Are they high quality? Overall, is the presentation uncluttered?

EXEMPLARY

Excellent use of camera and angles, with good focus and quality. Smooth transitions & clear reasons for each element. Elements are creative, unexpected and relevant.
STRONG

Good use of graphics, etc. Sound quality is okay. Video clips are clear, in focus and useful for the point.
PROFICIENT

Minimal use of design elements, or dependence on PowerPoint or other template. Clips and photos are clear and focused, but there may to too many of one kind, or not equal for each element.
DEVELOPING

Elements detract by being gaudy or overly simple, or too many. Crowded text areas; graphics may not be clear.
