Student never truly immerses enough into their character to produce any kind of believability.

Student weaves in and out of character slightly throughout performance.
Student subtly breaks focus when possible distractions occur.

Student stays completely immersed in their character throughout the entire performance.

Student sings masterfully and interprets the material with accuracy and flair.
Dance

Student does not remember dance moves.

Student executes the dance moves with appropriate expression in time to the music.

Student moves confidently and executes the dance moves with grace and flair.
Rehearsal/Commitment

Does the student show commitment to the show?

Falls Short of Expectations

Student had several or more absences or student arrived late or left early on more than one occasion. Student was often distracted, talking out of turn, directing others or on their phone during rehearsal time.
Meets Expectations

Student may have had one absence or tardy. Student showed proper communication in a timely manner in reference to conflicts. Student was mostly focused and engaged during rehearsal.
Surpasses Expectations

Student was consistently present (with the exception of illness or school related functions). Student communicated consistently and ahead of time. Student was focused and engaged during rehearsals.
