	Extending Has demonstrated an extending amount of detail and understanding of Asia. (N/A)	Proficient Has demonstrated a proficient amount of detail and understanding of Asia. (N/A)	Developing Has demonstrated a developing amount of some elements of detail and understanding of Asia. (N/A)	Emerging Has demonstrated an emerging understanding of Asia. (N/A)
Neatness	Extending	Proficient Each area is shaded in lightly. Coloring is neat and in the lines. Strokes are even and going in one direction.	Developing Coloured pencils are used. Colouring is neat and mostly in the lines. Most strokes are even and going in one direction.	Emerging Coloured pencils are not used. Colouring is mostly neat but strokes may go in more than one direction.
Colour Codes	Extending	Proficient Proper coloring is used for each area. There are no white space showing.	Developing A different color is used for each area. There may be a little white space showing.	Emerging The same color is used for more than one area. Many portions are uncolored.
Labeling	Extending	Proficient 100% of map labels are correct. Names are capitalized and spelled correctly. Neat black pen is used. All elements of a map are present.	Developing 70% of map labels are correct. Names are capitalized but there are a few spelling errors. Neat black printing is used. All elements of a map are not present.	Emerging Less than 70% of map labels are correct. Names are not capitalized or there are many spelling errors. Printing is hard to read. Elements are not clearly done or not done at all.
