Please note that the content is complete when it contains: health perspectives within the culture, demographics for the Philadelphia region, a map of the cultural region, communication specifics for the culture, and at least two unique and interesting facts about the culture. The cultural food content of the paper is sufficient in content and depth to understand the culture, staple/core foods, meal patterns, and religious food practices as appropriate to the culture in question.

Please note that is handout/brochure will be graded on the following criteria: Organization (layout), attractiveness (including graphics), content, and format (spelling etc.)

Beginning

Layout is confusing, reading level is to high for audience, brochure is difficult to read or distracting/not attractive, content is lacking in details/information, many spelling errors, and graphics are random or unclear.
Approaching

Layout or written communication is functional but not fully developed. Unattractive formatting or distracting text fonts, content is not fully developed, a few spelling errors, and graphics are lacking or brochure is text heavy.
Meeting

Layout is organized and written communcation is effective. The grade level is appropriate for the audience. The formatting is readable and attractive. The brochure contains several details from research that are correct and appropriate for the topic. There are no more than two spelling mistakes and the graphics are appropriate for the topic.
Exceeding

Layout is logical and applealing; written communciation is focused and interesting. The brochure is exceptionally attractive. Brochure is written at an appropriate grade level for the intended audience. The content of the brochure is correct, appropriate for the topic and based on current research understanding. There are no spelling mistakes and the graphics are clear, understandable and appropriate.
