Forms were created mostly by teacher assistance.The student did not complete enough layers so the form cannot support added material. The bottom of the shape is not sturdy. Did not take pride in ones work to complete in a timely manner. The paper mache was not executed carefully therefore there are pieces of newspaper that are coming up. Demonstrated off task behavior.
Partial Accomplishment
Forms were created with much assistance.
The student did not do enough layers to create a strong sturdy surface to be built on top of. Could of taken more time to carefully lay down each layer in a manner that the entire sphere is the same firmness. Did not complete in a timely manner, or rushed the process and made critical errors from start to finish. Some newspaper is lifting off the surface. Class time was not used efficiently.
Substantial Acomplishment
Forms were created with some assistance. The student's sphere is sturdy and a surface you can build on top of. Some improvements could of been made when laying down the layers of paper mache to create an overall firmness. There is not newspaper lifting off the surface. Time was used efficiently.
Full Accomlishment
Forms were created with very little assistance. The student's sphere is strong and durable from top to bottom. The sphere is sturdy and will be able to hold additional weight. Class time was spent focused on making the best end product, did not have to be redirected.

The Animal head was painted untidily and incompletely with much assistance or guidance. The final product is messy and incomplete. The final layer looks like it was half way done and the artist didn't take pride in making the finished product.

The Animal head half way painted and completed with much assistance or guidance.The final layer was not done with great precision lots of gaps left open exposing newspaper. Did not take pride in the finished product.
Substantial Acomplishment
The animal head was painted neatly and completely with some assistance or guidance. The final layer looks purposeful and helps covey to the viewer what animal it is. Some adjustments were needed in laying down the final surface.
Full Accomlishment
The animal head was painted neatly completely with very little assistance or guidance. The final layer is done carefully and looks like the artist took pride in their work. The final layer was done with excellence and no adjustments are needed in conveying what animal it is.
