Safety 15 % Student complied with all personal and equipment safety guidelines including using ESD protection and following staff’s instructions regarding powering devices on or off. These include taking ESD precautions (wrist strap, antistatic bags, placement of components), following instructions regarding powering on/energizing equipment, wearing closed toe shoes, and removing all metallic jewelry before working on equipment.	Poor Student failed to take proper precautions regarding ESD damage to equipment. Student did not comply with policy regarding powering on/energizing equipment. Student did not comply with personal safety standards including wearing closed-toe shoes and removing all metallic jewelry. Student needed to be reminded multiple times to comply with guidelines. Cable construction 75 % Student demonstrates knowledge of networking tools, cable wiring standards and cable construction techniques in creating multiple types of UTP cables (patch, crossover, etc.) that pass cable test. Fair Student required significant help and additional instruction to construct a passable UTP patch cable.
