Science Presentation - Rocks 5

Your group will present and teach a concept to the class. You must provide the class with all necessary materials, as well as provide an assignment for the class to complete. Your group must also provide an assessment of some kind to see if the class has understood the material.

Work Quality/Effort	Poor Work done with little or no visible effort and is of poor quality. Presentation does not engage the audience.	Acceptable Work done with acceptable effort. The quality is not what the learner is capable of. Presentation somewhat engages the audience.	Very Good Work is of satisfactory quality and shows that the learner is proud of their work. Presentation engages the audience.	Excellent Work is of excellent quality and shows the learner is proud of their work. Presentation engages the audience completely.
Product/Performance	Poor Students present a project that looks rushed, messy or thrown together. It is not a finished product. There are several spelling, grammar or punctuation errors.	Acceptable Students present a project that does not show pride or care and attention to detail. The effort was not to an acceptable level. There are spelling, grammar or punctuation errors. Presentation	Poor Students are silly or not serious about presenting project to the class. Behavior is not appropriate.	Acceptable Students simply read project to the class. Students do not make eye contact with the audience and are hard to hear.	Very Good Students "present" most of the project but look at the project, not the audience. Students speak well but need to speak louder and explain the details.	Excellent Students present project to audience with appropriate aye contact, volume and confidence. Group has checked for understanding	Poor The group does not check to see if the class understands the material.
