Simultaneously, you have a student slip and fall in the hallway, a upset parent come in to discuss an unfair grade his son got on his science project and a phone call from the superintendent who needs to talk to you immediately. How do you handle this situation and where do you begin first?
While reviewing the lesson plans of one of your best teachers, you realize she has not been teaching mathematics based on the philosophy of your building. Instead she uses a drill and kill style of teaching. Teachers in your school know to use manipulative and other strategies to reach students. However, this otherwise proficient teacher has not complied. What steps will you take to bring this teacher on board? How would you approach giving this teacher feedback on her observation?
The program director has been spending far more time in her office and less out in the preschool classes and campus, probably due to an increased expectation to manage a growing children’s program.
