Title Page 5 pts	Poor Work No Title Page or just the title and student's name. No illustration. No title or author. No color.	Acceptable Work Title page was not very neat, There were some hand drawn images or clip art. More color was needed. It was missing two of the three of the following: the title and author of the book as well as the student's name.	Good Work Title page was neat and hand drawn with illustration. It contained some colored images. It contained the title and author of the book as well as the student's name.	Outstanding Work Title page was very neat and colorfully hand drawn or colorful clip art. It contained the title and author of the book as well as the student's name.
Setting Page 5 pts	Poor Work The setting page contained an illustration of the setting that wasn't very neat or colorful At least one of the following is missing or not clear: the time and place in which the novel took place.	Acceptable Work The setting page contained an illustration of the setting which indicated only one part of the setting: the time or place in which the novel took place. Book Review 5 pts	Poor Work A review of the book is written and it is very basic with few or no specific reasons as to why the book is liked or disliked.	Acceptable Work A review of the book is written and it is a very basic explanation of why the book was liked or disliked.	Good Work A review of the book is written and it is complete and specific in giving reasons for liking or disliking the book.	Outstanding Work A review of the book is written and it is through and specific in giving reasons for liking or disliking the book.
Grammar/ Sentence Structure, format 3 pts	Poor Work Numerous errors in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, word usage, run-on sentences, sentence fragments. Paragraphs not indented. No evidence of proof-reading.	Acceptable Work Some errors occurred in in capitalization, punctuation, word usage, run-on sentences, sentence fragments. Paragraph formatting inconsistent. Proof-reading questionable.	Good Work A few errors occurred in capitalization, punctuation, word usage, sentence structure. Paragraphs properly formatted. Proof-reading inadequate.	Outstanding Work There were no errors or evidence of corrections in the report. Paragraphs were properly indented. Words were well chosen and sentences were concise.
Neatness 2 pts	Poor Work Work was very difficult to read, paper was torn or crumpled, work was smudged. It was quite messy and evident that no effort was put in to it.	Acceptable Work Paper was ripped, smudged or wrinkled. It was messy. It was evident that not much effort was put in to it.	Good Work Paper was neatly written and presented. It is colorful and evident that effort was put i nto it.	Outstanding Work Paper was neatly typed with no evidence of corrections having been made. It is very colorful and it is evident a lot of effort was put in to it.
