Geometric Dream House Project 
You are designing a floor plan of your very own dream home! A floor plan is a two-dimensional (flat) layout of different rooms and sections of a house. It is as if you are viewing your home from high above.

Neatness/Creativity

The project must be on a poster board. It can all be hand drawn, or you can use different materials such as construction paper, scrapbooking paper, etc.
Be sure to use color and make it attractive.

Excellent

Very well thought out design. Excellent layout and neatness. Color used effectively to enhance poster.
Good

Basic design. Layout and neatness are acceptable. Some color used to enhance poster.
Fair

Poor design. Layout is unattractive and messy. No color used to enhance poster.
Labels

The shapes will be labeled with the room designation. For example: Kitchen, Living Room, Family Room, Bedroom, etc.
The labels may be hand written or typed on a computer.
(There should be at least 6 rooms in the house.)

Excellent

The student labels 6 or more rooms. Labels are clear and understandable.
Good

The student labels 3 or 4 rooms. Labels are understandable.
Fair

The student labels 2 or less rooms. Labels are hard to understand.
