Initial Reflection Paper Each of the 16 essay questions/components will be graded using the first criterion below.
	Poor Does not meet expectations 2 pts	Fair Partially meets expectations 3 pts	Good Mostly meets expectations 4 pts	Excellent Fully meets or exceeds expectations 5 pts
Essay Question/Component 80 pts Did you thoughtfully reflect on the essay question? Did you accurately apply concepts from the course in your answer? Did you fully address all components of the essay question?	Poor Very basic, shallow reflection on essay question, demonstrating almost no thoughtfulness; inaccurate application of concepts from course; does not address required components of essay question	Fair More basic reflection on essay question, demonstrating a more superficial extent of thoughtfulness; partially accurate application of concepts from course with inaccuracies; only partially addresses required components of essay question	Good Satisfactory reflection on essay question, demonstrating at least some thoughtfulness; mostly accurate application of concepts from course; mostly addresses required components of the essay question	Excellent Thoughtful, thorough, complex reflection on essay question, accurately applying concepts from course; fully addresses all components of essay question
Grammar/Writing Mechanics 5 pts Did you follow grammar rules and use proper writing mechanics? Did you proofread and avoid typographical errors?
