Political Map Rubric

Students will label a map of the countries that slaves where taken from and slaves went to. Also include a key that shows the percentage of slaves that went to different countries and answer questions based on the map.

Key Does the student create a correct key representing the items?	Poor Key does not include information needed.	Fair Key only includes 1-2 items and not set up correctly.	Good Key only includes 3-5 items and is mostly set up correctly.	Excellent Key includes all items and is set up correctly.
Questions about Map Did students answer the questions about slavery correctly?	Poor Student did not answer the questions on the map.	Fair Student only partially answers question.	Good Student mostly answers questions, but missed key points.	Excellent Student answered questions correctly and included key points.
Neatness Did student neatly complete map?	Poor Map is not neat.	Fair Map is some what neat.	Good Map is mostly neat.	Excellent Map is very neat and easy to read.
