Brainstorm/Research	Poor Little or no evidence of brainstorming and research. Little or no evidence of imagination was observed. no options were presented.	Fair Some evidence of brainstorming and research. Some evidence of imagination was observed. 1 option was presented.	Good Good evidence of brainstorming and research. Good evidence of imaginatoin was observed. 2 options were presented, but lacked the steps described to build.	Excellent Great evidnece of brainstorming and research. Criteria:	Poor Airplane flew less than 5 feet with 35 pennies.	Fair Airplane flew 6 to 7 feet with 35 pennies.	Good Airplane flew 8 to 9 feet with 35 pennies.	Excellent Airplane flew 10 feet or more with 35 or more pennies.
Time Management	Poor Did not use time well. Time was wasted, The pilot was not on task.	Fair Sometimes used time well. There were many times when the pilot got off task.	Good Good use of time. There were a few times when the pilot got off task, but for the majority of the task time was well spent.	Excellent Great use of time. The pilot stayed on task during each phase of the process.
Criteria	Poor Airplane carries less than 20 pennies.	Fair Airplane carries 21 to 25 pennies.	Good Airplane carries 26 to 34 pennies.	Excellent Airplane carries 35 or more pennies.
