Choir Sight Reading Test HS Choir Sight Reading Test Students will sing a sight reading excerpt. They will be assessed on that performance and this rubrics shows how that grade will be determined. Sight Reading
	Advanced 8 pts	Proficient 6 pts	Fair 4 pts	Minimal 2 pts
Performance 8 pts	Advanced Student plays the piece with confidence and does not need any assistance or restarts.	Proficient Student plays the piece with some confidence and needs minor assistance or a restart.	Fair Student performs with not much confidence and needs some assistance and/or several restarts.	Minimal Student Stops several times and/or needs much assistance.
Sight Reading
	Advanced 8 pts	Proficient 26 pts	Fair 4 pts	Minimal 2 pts
Rhythm 8 pts	Advanced Student ALWAYS sings rhythms accurately.	Proficient Student MOSTLY sings rhythms accurately.	Fair Student SOMETIMES sings rhythms accurately.	Minimal Student made attempt but is NOT ABLE sing rhythms accurately at this time.
Syllables 8 pts	Advanced Student ALWAYS performs the sight reading example on the correct solfege syllables.	Proficient Student MOSTLY performs the sight reading example on the correct solfege syllables.	Fair Student SOMETIMES performs the sight reading example on the correct solfege syllables.	Minimal Student made attempt but is NOT ABLE to perform the sight reading example on the correct solfege syllables.
Notes 8 pts	Advanced Student ALWAYS sings the correct part.	Proficient Student MOSTLY sings the correct part.	Fair Student SOMETIMES sings the correct part.	Minimal Student made attempt but is NOT ABLE to sing the correct part at this time.
