Creating Your Own Muffins Evaluation Creating Your Own Muffins Evaluation In teams, Students will use a basic Muffin Recipe and each adding a secret ingredient to create a muffin to be judged by a panel of experts using a rubric. Rubric Code: UXACWCC By clamoureux Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Vocational Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

Muffins
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 5 pts	Good 10 pts
Moisture	Poor Dry - tough to eat without a bottle of liquid to wash it down it can't be eaten	Fair It is moist but not perfect - only need a swallow or two of liquid	Good Perfectly moist - no help needed to swallow it
Taste	Poor One flavor seems to over power the entire muffin - product does not seem to be blended well	Fair Product tastes OK - but it seems to have a flavor that is stronger than the others - bites are not similar	Good Perfectly blended flavors - each bite tastes great
Quality	Poor I could have bought better muffins at the Dollar Store.	Fair The muffins were equal to Hannafords quality.	Good These were outstanding muffins - no convenience or grocery store could have achieved this quality.
Color	Poor Browning is off on the bottom and the top --- burnt edges	Fair Browning is even on the top of the muffin and OK on the bottom	Good Browning is even across the top of the muffin and the bottom of the muffin
Creativity	Poor New ingredients were not very successful...keep trying:)	Fair New ingredients interesting, somewhat successful in final product	Good Tried interesting ingredients and was very successful in the final product
