Digital Storytelling Presentation Rubric
This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Digital Storytelling presentation project. This rubric can be used with any tool from PowerPoints to Sway and Prezis. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Digital Storytelling presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your project and purpose have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Content is clear, some research, and easy to follow. The presentation was less than 7 slides, less than 3 events, but sensory language present, and thematic importance. [15 points]
Good
Content is somewhat clear and easy to follow. The presentation is missing some elements of character description, less than 5 slides, less than 2 events, and the character is not connected to a theme. [10 points]
Fair
Content is unclear or incomplete. Many elements of the character were missing and the theme is not stated. Less than 3 slides and the events were not included. [10 points]
Poor
More than half of the required content is absent. [10 points]

Superior
Students presented their character with energy and enthusiasm.[15 points]
Excellent
Students presented their character with adequate energy.[12 points]
Good
Presentation was lacking in energy or wrong length. [10 points]
Fair
Students did not describe or explain their character during the presentation. [10 points]

The presentation did not occur. [5 points]

Superior
Text appearing in presentation uses proper grammar and spelling, readable size and eye-friendly fonts.[15 points]
Excellent
Text appearing in presentation has less than 3 grammar and spelling mistakes, readable size and eye-friendly fonts.[12 points]
Good
Text appearing in presentation has more than 5 grammar and spelling mistakes, or readable size and eye-friendly fonts are not a readable size and not eye friendly. [10 points]
Fair
Too much/too little written text, wrong size of font, numerous misspellings, and crowded visual language. [10 points]
Poor
Text in presentation is absent.[5 points]
Appearance [Visuals]
Superior
Visuals are present in each slide, relate to and enhances the presentation.[15 points]
Excellent
Visuals add to the presentation.[12 points]
Good
Visuals are present, but are sometimes distracting. [10 points]

Visuals are distracting or don't relate to the presentation. [10 points]
