Facts and Sources	Emerging Student displays few facts, or mostly incorrect facts and is not in the group's own words.	Developing Student displays some facts that are mostly correct with some of the words in the group's own words.	Proficient Student displays a variety of mostly correct facts with most of the words in the group's own words.	Extending Students displays a great variety of correct facts with all of the words in the group's own words.
Research and Understanding	Emerging Student did inadequate research. Student does not understand their own project.	Developing Student did some research but most information is not in their words. Student shows little understanding of their project.	Proficient Student did a lot of research and it is presented in their own words. Student shows a clear understanding of their project.	Extending Student did significant research and it is entirely in their own words. Student demonstrates a deep understanding of their project.
Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation	Emerging Projerct has little or no punctuation or spelling. Topic or material unclear due to excessive errors.	Developing Project has some correct spelling and punctuation. Writing style makes topic and/or material unclear.	Proficient Project uses mostly correct spelling and punctuation.
