Step Aerobics 
Students will create and perform a routine using a minimum of eight different steps that were previously learned. The routine will include a warm up and proper transitioning between steps. The routine should include a minimum 64-count.

Combinations

Students will use the combinations taught in class to create their own routine.

Poor

Student routine is too repetitive. The routine only incorporates zero to three different movement patterns.
Moderate

Student routine includes four to seven different step patterns.
Excellent

Student's routine contains at least eight different steps.
Transition

The transition from one step pattern to another should be smooth and flow easily without stopping.

Poor

The routine lacks flow. The student has to stop during the routine in order to perform the next step pattern. Poor transitioning from one move to another.
"Stop" routine.
Moderate

There is some flow to the routine. Occassionally, the student has to stop, but there is more flow then not. "Stop and Go" routine.
Excellent

The routine flows smoothly from one step pattern to the next. No stopping occurs during the routine. "Go" routine.
Rhythm and Step Counts

Students should perform the step patterns with the beat of the music.

Poor

The routine is too short and is a zero to thirty-count step routine. More steps are needed.
Moderate

The routine is of moderate length containing a count between thirty and sixty-three steps.
Excellent

The routine is a 64-count routine including a variety of steps and of good length.
