Student does not make any attempt to demonstrate skill.
Satisfactory

Student does not display an understanding for the head-up freestyle swim, and is not able to keep control or possession of the ball.
Good

Student displays an understanding for the head-up freestyle swim, but struggles to keep the stroke consistent. The student often looses control or possession of the ball several times.
Excellent

Student displays proper head-up freestyle swimming and uses the wave created by body position to keep control or possession of the ball at all times.
Overhead Shooting

Poor

Student does not make any attempt to demonstrate skill.
Satisfactory

Student is not able to craddle ball in throwing hand and demonstrate control. No attempt to scull with opposite hand is made. Shoulders do not rotate, and throwing arm barely comes over the top. Little to no follow through occurs.
Good

Student struggles to craddle ball in throwing hand. Shoulders rotate, but throwing arm does not come over the top. Follow through is inconsistent, sometimes happens towards net.
Excellent

Student craddles the ball in throwing hand and demonstrates control of ball. Shoulders rotate as throwing arm comes over the top to release the ball. Follow through happens towards net or partner.
