Group Exploration Project Group Exploration Project The students will put together a presentation to show understanding of an explorer. The presentation will contain information that the students read regarding an European explorer. Content/Organization	Exceeds The presentation includes all information relevant to the explorer in an organized fashion.	Good Presentation includes all relevant information; however, is not well-organized.	Fair Does not have enough information about the explorer. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion.	Poor The presentation is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented.
Work Quality/Effort	Exceeds The work done exceeds expectations and shows that the students are proud of their work. The effort that was put into this task is excellent.	Good The work was done with good effort that shows what the student is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the student is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work completed with little effort or quality. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Creativity	Exceeds The presentation has an element of creativity and style. The project is presented in a clear and concise manner showing full understanding.	Good The presentation is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Good clear presentation.	Fair The presentation lacks style and reads more like a list of facts than an oral presentation. The poster lacks neatness and clarity.	Poor The presentation lacks a clear understanding of the explorer and their are many errors. Poster is not creative.
Presentation	Exceeds The students speak clearly and showed their information with complete understanding of the explorer. It is evident that the students prepared.	Good The students speak clearly and present a good amount of the information expected.	Fair There are several confusing moments and the information is confusing The students did not practice what was to be said.	Poor No preparation was completed for the presentation and the information that was presented lacks many elements of what is expected.
Requirements	Exceeds The students exceeded all the requirements for the explorer project.	Good The students met all the requirements for the explorer project.	Fair The students met some of the requirements for the exploration project.	Poor The students lacks most of the requirements for the explorer project.
