Topic Sentences	Excellent 3 clear topic sentences. The key information from the prompt is included.	Good 2 clear topic sentences. The key information from the prompt is included. Third topic sentence is unclear.	Fair 1 clear topic sentences. The key information from the prompt is included. Two topic sentences are unclear.
Logic/Text examples	Excellent Answer shows reflective thought, and text examples or support have been provided throughout.	Good Answer shows thought, and text examples or support have been provided occasionally.	Fair Answer shows thought, and text examples or support have been provided minimally.
Mechanics and Grammar	Excellent Paragraph has no errors in punctuation, grammar, capitalization, and spelling.	Good Paragraph has one to five punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and/or spelling errors.	Fair Paragraph has six to ten, capitalization, grammar, and/or spelling errors.
